Asthma is a chronic disease which causes swelling of lungs making breathing complicated. The causes for Asthma can be genetic or environmental with sudden change in the temperature being one of the rare reasons. According to Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), almost 7-10% adults and seniors are diagnosed with asthma in the United States.
The symptoms of Asthma are frequent cough, troubled breathing, tightening of chest, increased phlegm and fatigue. Most often the symptoms are misunderstood as the effects of smoke, aging and pollution.
Asthma can be controlled through regular intake of medications and preventive inhalers for quick relief which identify and reduce the risk factors related to asthmatic attack.
