World Alzheimer’s Day Report

Yesterday on world’s Alzheimer’s Day, a report was released called “World Alzheimer Report 2010: the Global Impact of Dementia”

This report says that in 2010, an estimated 35.6million people worldwide live with dementia. The number of people who will get affected by this is said to rise to 65.7 million by the end of 2030. The cost of treating Alzheimer’s is estimated as $604 billion annually and is expected to rise. High income countries like United States account 46% of prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease.
