It has become a common syndrome. Not only Men and Women, Even most children are affected by Diabetes.

But what is diabetes exactly?

Diabetes mellitus or Diabetes is a condition where the Glucose levels in blood habitually increases. Insulin an important hormone produced by Pancreas. Diabetes is characteristics either by not producing insulin or its not working properly.

  • Malnutrition or Poor

  • Sedentary Lifestyle

What are the symptoms?

Some of the symptoms of Low Glucose in blood are:

  • Anxiety – Shake Involuntarily
  • Uneasy Behaviors like clammy handshake
  • Hunger – Excessive thirst and appetite
  • Abnormality of heartbeat
  • Sweating
  • Trouble in breathing
  • Increased urination (sometimes as often as every hour)
  • Unusual weight loss or gain
  • Fatigue and Nausea
  • Slow-healing sores or cuts

Is Diabetics Curable?

The one of the frequent question asked by the patients if they are recognized with Diabetes is – Whether Diabetes is Curable.

Diabetes Mellitus is not curable – It is TREATABLE. Diabetes can’t be cured completely – The levels of glucose can be controlled by taking necessary medication, Exercise and proper Diet.

What’s the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetics?

TYPE 1 DIABETES:  Also called as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes. It is generally found in Children and teenagers. Usually Type 1 Diabetes occurs when the Cells of Pancreas are no longer using the insulin. – Which will affect the immune system. Insulin injections are commonly taken.

TYPE 2 DIABETES:  Known as adult-onset diabetes or noninsulin-dependent diabetes. Most common among Old aged people – Sometimes may also happens in childhood. This kind of Diabetes resists the insulin absorption – which result in negligence of insulin by muscles and fat.

I don’t have Diabetics… So how can I prevent it?

Yes Ofcourse… By following some points we can avoid Diabetes.Prevention is better than cure!.

  • A balanced diet – reducing carbohydrates and adding more Fruits and Veggies
  • Avoid Alcohol and Smoking
  • Regular Exercise
  • Maintaining proper BMI weight
  • Manage blood pressure and cholesterol
